Hands down the best sushi I have ever had.
I was here constantly when I lived right across the street; however, it has been a little difficult to get there regularly since I moved.
Despite the fact that now Kobe is a little out of the way, this is still the only sushi place I will go to. There are dozens of other sushi restaurants between my home and Kobe, but none of them compare.
The food is great, prices fair, and the staff is friendly! -

Went here around noon. Really slow service. I ordered a spicy salmon cut roll which took awhile to come out. it was awful... The seaweed was soggy. The cucumber was unripe and really hard and the salmon didn't have much flavor. It didn't really feel like sushi. Happy hour is all day for their nigiri and simple cut rolls, 50% off. I'll give the place another go with their nigiri and update later as I pass by this place often

My goto place sushi+ apparently was "closed" cuz of the holiday (Labor Day yesterday) or maybe the guy on the phone said birthday. So now I finally have an excuse to try Kobe sushi! Excited for a solid 4 Star place with 200+ reviews.
Lobster Roll $12.50 nets you this california looking roll smothered in a carpet of masago. Maybe some kind of thick crab chunks in the interior and something spicy in there too, otherwise it was tasteless. Rice was mushy, really really meh mushy. The whole roll was really cold...I imagined it wouldve been a hot roll. Only included sauce was soy sauce, no sauce cup or anything I think they expected me to barbarically squirt it all over the roll; I think if anything eel sauce would've been better; good sushi doesn't need added sauce. In any case, massively overpriced for how it tastes.
Inside: I'm not kidding, except for the guy that walked in before me and was looking at the sushi menu....not a single seated customer anywhere, that should've been the instant abort signal. Pretty big sushi restaurant too. Don't think it's a Japanese sushi place. Red flag outside, giant banner featuring happy hour everyday 50% off sushi.
Spacious parking strip for a bunch of small shops but it was pretty empty.
::edit:: the ginger was dry...texture of like leathery skin? I yakked. Omg I...ugh. I've never had such bad ginger! -

Extremely slow service. There were only two waiters that were working. The place seem packed when I got there, but noticed there weren't any food on the table. Everything was just extremely slow. I honestly think they should at least have three people working because I wanted to walk out.
I was hoping the food would make up for the slow services, but it was the same, not that good. I've been to this place since 2016, and things have really went downhill. I hope they'll improve soon, and wish them luck later on. -

Awesome place, been going here for over 15 years and have never had a bad meal or experience, something new on the menu right now are egg-rolls. Made in house and Yum!
